Case Study 2 : Mark
Synopsis
Mark (30), who suffers from manic depression, received an invitation from his GP to attend a health check, but objected to the label "severe mental illness" that accompanied it, along with the fact that he would be placed on a register. Subsequently he was given the option of a "well man" health check without being labelled, to which he agreed.
